Colour Tongues here with the colorful indie-pop of “Wasted.” Inspired to take up the art of songwriting by Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie, “Wasted” embodies a bunch of mid-aughts era songwriting. Sensitive vibes, swimmy reverb-drenched guitars, and heartfelt vocals with a Gibbard-esque drawl. That’s not to say Colour Tongues is a DCFC clone – there’s a very pleasant swung beat here and a sparkly, contemporary mix that’s all their own. We think you’ll like this one too – check it out below or on Spotify if that’s more your thing.
