Tonight is a perfect night to have your face melted off by the incomparable indie rock champions, Titus Andronicus, performing at the 9th Ward.

Formed in New Jersey in 2005, singer-songwriter, Patrick Stickles, leads this rousing quintet with an unmistakable wild man voice that’s impassioned and rough as sandpaper. After years of silence, the group has returned with a new full-length, A Productive Cough, and the All Hallows’ Eve EP, Home Alone on Halloween. Their robust and evocative catalog has evolved from frenetic indie rock with punk accents to ensemble, working class piano rock that will make for an unforgettable live show.

Sharing the stage is your new favorite band and Portland, OR’s very own, Summer Cannibals. If you like loud, female-driven garage rock with loads of attitude then you can’t miss this set. Singer-guitarist, Jessica Bourdreaux, glues everything together with her perfectly snobby vocals and heavy, crunchy riffs for a sound that will bully you around. Expect a high voltage, amp-blowing performance from a band you must keep your eyes on.

Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. Tickets are $18; get them here.
