Mohawk Place hosts a hotly anticipated hodgepodge show of wonderfully unique music that promises to be the biggest party in Buffalo tonight.

Headlining and making a stop on their summer march up the Northeast is the awe-inspiring, What Cheer? Brigade. More rock n roll than marching band, this twentyish piece badass brass collective from Providence, RI is going to change your life; you just don’t know it yet. Nothing can prepare you for the exhilarating energy and happiness of blasting trumpets, bellowing trombones, pounding percussion and crashing cymbals so don’t even bother. Just show up and experience a spectacular set you won’t soon forget.

Adding some moody and unplugged rhythm and blues to the evening is Buffalo songstress, Curtis Lovell. Lovell’s moving voice will set your soul on fire as she harmonizes over simplistic beats layered with choruses and handclaps. Check her out for a perfectly intimate and communal performance.

Topping off the bill is local female-lead punk rockers, Grain Assault. Show at 7pm, $7 cover. Don’t miss it.
