Jack Binkerd is an Alabaman-turned-Nashvillian making alt-country tinged indie rock with a cool, mathy flair. It’s a lot to take in on paper, but we think listening to the start-stop angularity of “Magnolia” will speak for itself. In “Magnolia,” Binkerd combines unique guitar riffing (reminiscent of Minus the Bear) with the sincere emotion that you might hear out of a Pinegrove song.
