Portland’s Brandon Thomas De La Cruz takes an artistic approach as an acoustic singer-songwriter in his track “New Wave.” This song, as well as others on the upcoming album, was inspired by artists and poets like Rainer Maria Rilke and Picasso, conjuring strong imagery and vivid anecdotes. De La Cruz’s gentle vocals and tender acoustic guitar strumming lend to his picturesque musings, while leaving the rest to the listener’s interpretation.
